Only premium valve seats should be used in today’s engines. Both Well-Tite and
Mar-Tite Valve Seats are engineered for today’s demanding engines. Our Well-Tite
Valve Seat is recognized worldwide as the finest quality valve seat product that can
be used and the demand for it continues to grow in both the replacement and
original equipment market.
Well-Tite Premium Grade Valve Seats: Well-Tite is designed and engineered for
all critical engine applications such as propane, turbo charged engines and
performance engines for on road and off road competition. It is also recommended
for all engine applications where high temperature and heavy load factors demand
the Well-Tite performance.
Mar-Tite Premium Grade Valve Seats: Mar-Tite Valve Seats are premium quality
product engineered for today’s unleaded fuel requirements. These Valve Seats are
manufactured in
electric induction foundries under disciplined control conditions to assure premium
valve and seat performance.
How to order seats
In ordering Martin Wells Valve Seats please place the “W” for Well-Tite or “M” for
Mar-Tite in front part number you require. All Martin Wells part numbers and sizes
remain the same, only the letter you place in front of the part number changes the
product classification.
All outside diameter sizes shown in fractions (2-1/2, etc.) will have press or
interference fit added by us. Example: When you order a valve seat from this
catalog 2-1/2 (2.500), you will receive 2.506 as we add .005 to .006 press or
interference fit to fractional sizes.
Martin Wells Valve Seat Inserts are available in an outside diameter over sizes. To
order an oversize, determine the Martin Wells part number and show the oversize
desired following the basic part number. Example:W 503+.010. This insert will be .
010 over W-503 with press included, or 1.515 actual.

If you requiere any size not listed in our catalog , it can be manufacture to your
specifications with the fatsest possiable delivery. In this case simply order by the
exact size that your engine application requires and we will furnish it immediately.
Remember to state whether it is actual O.D. size or if we should add press.
